January 26th ~ Teen Angel
My oldest turns 13 today...
I'm in mushy mommy mode.
How is it possible that 13 years have gone by so quickly?
He is such a wonderful kid. We are very blessed.
This weekend we are taking him alone (sans siblings) to spend the day in SF....exploring things HE wants to explore, doing whatever HE wants to do, and having dinner in China Town. Both parents to himself for the day....a good gift. :) My parents did that for me....and I still remember it like it was yesterday. The kids always have to share us. It'll be fun having one-on-one time with each of them on their 13th birthdays.
On a different topic....I need a good book to read for my bookclub. (Its my turn to suggest the book we'll read.) I'm not having luck finding one (probably because I read a lot....and our bookclub has already read many of the best sellers). Maybe something 5 or 10 years old. Any suggestions?

Aw, happy belated birthday to the baby! What a bizarre feeling it must be for you--happy and heartbreaking, all rolled into one.
Have you read The Kite Runner yet? Interpreter of Maladies? Or her follow-up, Namesake? My faves from the last few years.

My nephew turns 4 tomorrow...That seems like yesterday. I think the only way adults can truly appreciate the passage of time is by seeing it happen to the youngsters around us.
