September 8th ~


My mom has cancer.

She just called me.

It is in her uterine lining. Surgery is scheduled for Monday.

All I can hear is white noise.

    It's fuuny you referred to it as a bump in the road, Gina. I just set up a blog for a friend with cancer called "A Bump In The Road"

    Huggs back...thanks.....nice knowing someone understands that white noise thing. It's better today.....and I can breathe. I'm focusing on her recovering beautifully.

    24 hours have gone by since she called me and I come from a sicko family with a wacky dark sense of humor. I was going to post some of the sicko jokes Mom is making....and that we are volleying back...but I'm afraid to! lol :) Hate for you all to see inside of the dark corners of me. lol

    Oh Trudy--I'm so sorry! Glad to hear the humor has reasserted itself; the best kind of coping mechanism. But I'm sure she's scared, and know you are, too.
